One of the factors that has brought attention to the UniverCity neighbourhood lately is the recent launch of two new developments on University High Street. Nest by Mosaic Homes http://www.simonfrasercondos.com/Nest.ubr and Origin Porte Development http://www.simonfrasercondos.com/Origin.ubr have been selling well, and have out performed many of the other pre sale condo developments in Burnaby.
I get many inquiries from tenants looking to rent a townhouse at SFU, and Serenity is a popular building for investor owners looking for easy to manage investment properties. There are several floor plans available at Serenity starting just under 1100 square feet. The most popular floor plan seems to be the two bedroom, two bathroom plan which is on two levels and offers gas cooking and designer interior finishes. These have sold for as low $382,000 and typically rent in the $1500 - $1700 range.
There are some great resources for owners and residents.
